Irene Luft is a luxury Prêt-à-Porter brand based in Munich. The modern yet elusive feminine and romantic style is the signature of the Brand. Irene’s life is homage to fashion. Born and raised in Russia as the daughter of a master tailor she followed her
mother’s tracks and did her apprenticeship as a couture artisan. She graduated with distinction from the renowned German Master Craftsmen School for Fashion (Deutsche Meisterschule für Mode) and later from the Akademie für Mode & Design in Munich. While working
for internationally renowned brands Irene Luft founded her own eponymous label. Ever since the first day Irene launched her Label she is known for her spectacular handmade couture dresses for private customers and her strong yet wonderfully feminine idea for
her Prêt-à-Porter and occasion wear designs. Irene Luft is a regular attendant at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin where her fashion shows are a statement, each time.
Plauener Lace which was at its best in 1900, when it won the Grand Prix at the World Exhibition in Paris but fell into a deep slumber during the world economic crisis in the late 1920ies, has by now become a crucial part of Irene Luft.
As the first high fashion designer she revived and thereby somehow inherited the spirit, the tradition and know-how of a seemingly already lost part of fashion. Altogether Irene Luft is a synonym for the symbiosis of sartorial and couture craftsmanship and
the inherited values of plauener lace and the highest quality standards for the materials used in the designs.
